Accounting Manager

Position Purpose:
Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. Manages or works with the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, and budget preparation. Assisting the Chief Financial Officer with any projects or needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage all accounting staff including accountant and accounting intern.
Assist in preparation of monthly financial and operating reports including:
Assist in preparation of monthly financial and of Cash Flows for all companies supported by the AADK accounting team.
Financial key metrics and operating reports for all companies supported by the AADK accounting team.
Monthly total debt and property analysis.
Cash projections
Review all Accounts Payable payments prior to processing.
Develop and implement new processes and procedures to meet financial reporting needs of all business and owners served by the AADK accounting team.
Create and or review recurring journal entries for all companies. Recurring Journal Entries include but are not limited to the items below:
Loan and Line of Credit Payments
Corporate Allocations
Inter-Company Loans and Advances
Payroll and Employee Benefits
Utility Payments
Reconciles all bank accounts monthly.
Assists CFO in preparation of annual budgets and ongoing real estate proforma analysis.
Research accounting treatment of new accounting transactions.
Manage all builder rebates to be received by AADK.
Manage all insurance policies held by companies supported by the AADK accounting team.
Manage all utility payments for properties held by companies supported by AADK accounting team.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
Qualifications/Prior Experience:
High School Diploma
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Five years of experience in accounting.
QuickBooks experience preferred
Work Environment:
The work performed is conducted in a climate-controlled facility with moderate noise levels that are within OSHA limits.
Must be able to lift to 10-20 lbs
Must be ablt to walk, talk, sit, stand, and communicate verbally continuously throughout an 8-hour period.
